It’s a toast to those who Bock!

Taking you back to school…..beer school!

OH, what a frabjous day to be making beer!

If there is one thing that we here at Rabbit Hole Brewing love, it’s craft beer. If there’s a second thing, it’s making craft beer. If there be a third thing we love, it can only be Led Zeppelin III. But the fourth thing, the fourth thing we love is supporting fellow local home brewers. Indeed, we love it more than the JubJub Birds love bandersnatches!

For the second year in a row, Rabbit Hole Brewing is celebrating homebrewers around the world and the Bluebonnet Brew-Off Homebrew Competition by producing a beer created by an award winning homebrew from the 2016 Bluebonnet Brew-Off.

Homebrewer Brian Schoolcraft won last year’s Rabbit Hole Brewing Pro-Am award with his Eisbock.  This amazing Eisbock beer has been described as “an intensely rich, malty German lager with a smooth, sweet finish and a significant alcohol punch.” Brian mixed four malt varieties and two types of hops to create this craft beer but it is the Munich malt character that dominates both the flavor and aroma. The beer will have a hefty 13.5% ABV with an IBU of 30. It is appropriately titled School of Bock.

Brian SCHOOLcraft. It’s an eisBOCK beer. Ergo School of Bock. And you don’t need to have gone to Horace Green Prep School with Ned Schneebly to know that one!

Rabbit Hole Brewing, located directly above the center of the Earth in Justin, TX, will brew and package the special edition beer. The School of Bock will be extremely limited in its availability. Kegs will be available to select accounts and exactly 504 bottles will be produced and sold. Bottles will be hand numbered, and the beer will be available on tap or at local retailers starting March 24 after premiering at the 2017 Bluebonnet Brew-Off Homebrew Competition!

To those competing in this year’s Homebrew competition, we drink tonight to the hoppy bite and for those about to Bock…we salute you!  Yes, we do!

Tis brillig!
