May 2016 Rapture Voluntary Can Recall

JUSTIN, TX – Rabbit Hole Brewing has issued a voluntary recall on Rapture Fusion Brown Ale cans produced in May of 2016. This recall is due to excess carbonation discovered in a routine quality assurance test conducted at our facility. Excess carbonation has the potential to cause a rupture of the can when stored at temperatures above 70 degrees. However, our tests have shown no increased carbonation in cans stored at temperatures below 50 degrees.

Excess carbonation does not cause Rapture Fusion Brown Ale to be un-safe for human consumption. Regardless of how Rapture Fusion Brown Ale is or was stored it is still safe to consume. However, this discrepancy does not meet our quality standards and therefore we have issued a voluntary recall.

Any individual that has purchased Rapture Fusion Brown Ale cans produced in May of 2016 is eligible for this recall. Rabbit Hole Brewing will exchange unopened cans that were produced in May of 2016 for new ones beginning on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the brewery during normal operating hours.
